My first completed sale occurred on my first day in the field. In fact, it was the very first appointment Prodigy assigned to me.
The client was an established nail salon currently processing with another provider. I was able to close both my first system upgrade and reprogram with this customer.
He did not have a fax machine and with it being my first day in the field, nor did I. I went to the business next door and asked to use their fax machine. Not only did they allow me the use of their fax machine, but I also set up my first self generated appointment. They were using an old “knuckle buster” machine. While using their fax machine, I started talking with the owner about the services they were receiving from their current merchant provider versus the services Prodigy Payment Systems could provide to them. She was very impressed and I was able to go back the next day and they accepted our service as well.
My first two days in the field and I closed two deals, both including system upgrades and reprograms, and one of which was self generated. Needless to say, I was very excited and motivated!
In addition to the training bonuses I received for each individual appointment, my successes in these first two deals enabled me to help meet the requirements for the second level of the Quick Start program. I am now diligently working toward the third level of the Quick Start program and am on target for meeting that goal as well.
